KOTA KINABALU, Friday, 24 May 2024:
GRS coalition component parties, United Sabah National Organisation (USNO) and Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP), will be organising leadership and team building programs in order to prepare and strengthen today’s young leaders to lead Sabah.
This joint program was discussed between the leaders of USNO and SAPP at a meeting on Thursday, when delegation from USNO led by its President, Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia, comprising 18 leaders, made a working visit to the SAPP headquarters at Kota Kinabalu.
The visit was met with warm reception by Supreme Councillors of SAPP, led by the party president Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee.
During the visit, fruitful discussions were also held, focusing on the ongoing efforts to address critical issues in Sabah, such as Territorial Security, Energy Security and Food Security.
Meanwhile, Tan Sri Pandikar elaborated the need for Sabah to have a platform where veteran politicians may pass the baton to upcoming leaders, for avoiding and overcoming the challenges and big problems faced by earlier generations of Sabah leaders.
Further, Stephan Gaimin, the organising secretary of Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP), proposed a training camp on Team Building
“It was agreed that USNO and SAPP will spearhead the organisation of the camp,” said Stephan after convening with the media and organising committee of USNO to deliberate on the proposal.
Stephan Gaimin emphasised that such collaborative endeavours among all GRS parties serve to strengthen the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah coalition, enhancing its preparedness for the forthcoming elections.
