I welcome the decision made by the Prime Minister, who is also the Finance Minister, to spare Sabah and Sarawak from the retraction of diesel subsidy.
This decision greatly benefits the people of these regions and ensures continued access to affordable diesel fuel.
Furthermore, I kindly urge the ministry to strive for maintaining the ceiling retail price of diesel for private cars at RM2.15 per litre.
This would be a significant relief for the rakyat of Sabah, helping us manage in these challenging times.
We look forward to the federal government continuing to heed the needs of Sabahans, and to a positive outcome for the benefit of Sabahans, and Malaysians as whole.
