KOTA KINABALU, 13 June 2022: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Young Women Movement (Mudanita) is gearing up to prepare itself to be part of the election machinery to face the impending 15th General Election which could happen at any time.
Its chief, Sherine Chong, said the Mudanita movement will therefore be actively assisting, coordinating with the party to build stronger rapport among members.
“We participated in the Youth organised EVO Camp program and were exposed to the true history of Sabah, including our rights enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), the Double-Six tragedy, past and present economic and political issues,” said Chong.
“Mudanita members are now ready to share and bring the truths, knowledge and awareness to more people, especially young women, who do not know past events that happened in Sabah which marked the fate and changed the political demographics leading to its present state.
She said it is important for young female voters to prepare to face social, economic and political issues, because they are one of the pillars that shape a healthy society and nation.
Chong said the Mudanita wing will also be coordinating with the SAPP Youth Movement in the East Coast EVO Camp to be held on June 24 -26 at Sandakan.
She welcomes young women to come forward to take part in the program, getting insight on the current landscape and self-development and motivation training.
