KOTA KINABALU, 25 March 2022: PPM N21 Luyang and team today visited the Kg Kopungit fire which occurred around 8 in the morning and distributed food baskets to the fire victims.
Gee Tien Siong, who heard the news, brought his team to the scene to see what assistance they would able to offer to the disaster families.
According to the Chairman of JPKK Kg. Kopungit Charles Gokin, 10 units of houses were affected by the fire in which 5 of them were totally destroyed. Fortunately, there were no casualties as reported.
Gee, who is Luyang’s Community Development Leader (PPM N21 Luyang) and also SAPP vice president, requested the authorities to use the Luyang community Hall as their shelter for the families who were affected by the fire.
He felt grateful for the cooperation from City Hall and the Bomba firefighters who had managed to control the fire.
