Food, bottled drinks for police frontliners

Kota Kinabalu, 23 January 2021: The increase in Covid-19 cases which prompted the government to implement a second MCO aimed at curbing the disease. Today is the 11th day of MCO 2.0 and Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Youth took the initiative to distribute food and bottled drinks to frontline Police officers who are manning the various districts cross-border points.

The team led by Dexter Chin, who is a member of the SAPP supreme council said the assistance they distributed were to these frontline officers stationed at the Sulaman Tuaran, Telipok Putrajaya, Papar Lama and Sabindo Putatan roads were a token of their appreciation for the hard work, commitment and the important role by the security force in curbing the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Dexter said he hoped this small contribution could lift the morale of these officers who are keeping watch at road blocks 24/7 during the MCO. He added that people appreciate the work of the police in enforcing movement control in order to help us stay safe during this period of pandemic.

Dexter who is also a member of the national Perikatan Nasional Youth Committee was accompanied by fellow SAPP Youth Exco members namely Nelson Marcellus, Charles Gokin, Clarence Oh and Stephan Gaimin.
