“Phoong, who controls the money, does not perform, yet questions SAPP?”
KOTA KINABALU, Wednesday, 26 Nov 2025:
Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) candidate for Luyang, Gee Tien Siong, today launched a scathing attack on the incumbent Luyang Assemblyman, Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe.
Gee challenged the account book for RM10 million in government allocations, as well as the fund for Kota Kinabalu Count Down 2025 (KKCD2025) during Phoong’s tenure that remain unknown and accused him of betraying voters by “fleeing” to contest in Likas.
“Even his team doesn’t know how the RM10m was spent. This is simply preposterous!”
Here are three key rebuttals regarding Phoong Jin Zhe’s switch to Likas and his team’s defence:
Luyang’s RM10 Million and KKCD2025 allocations remain unknown
Where exactly has that RM10 million allocation for Luyang gone? How about the KKCD2025 account? It is the voters’ fundamental right to know.
As a government Assemblyman cum Minister controlling resources and executive power, failing to present a report card constitutes a dereliction of duty.
The team left behind cannot account for their performance and is merely resorting to questioning opponents to divert attention.
Refuting the fallacy of “SAPP 5 years in government”
Let the DAP (Rocket) get this straight: it was the DAP that received Luyang’s constituency allocations!
SAPP only had a representative in the Sabah Legislative Assembly and did not control Luyang’s administration.
“You hold the power and the money whilst no performance, and now you blame SAPP? It is an absolute farce!”
The Commander “Flees”, Abandoning Voters and Subordinates
“Phoong dare not face his responsibilities and has ‘fled’ to Likas. His abandoned subordinates not only fail to explain how these huge sums have been utilised, but contradictingly ask his subordinates to question SAPP?”
“Does Phoong think he is safe simply because he has fled to Likas?”
Gee Tien Siong emphasised that since DAP cannot deliver results nor manage Luyang properly, they should step aside.
“Leave Luyang to the Sabah Progressive Party, who can truly get things done and maintain transparent accounts!”
