Damaged fence and collapsed drain to be repaired

KOTA KINABALU, 14th September 2021 – Heavy rain continued last week causing several fence structures and ditches in Taman Kim Leng, Likas to be damaged.

“We received a complaint about it from the houseowner and immediately contacted Mr Richard, an officer from KK City Hall’s Engineering Department,” said Dexter Chin.

As the collapsed drainage and damaged fence involved City Hall’s facilities and residents’ houses respectively, a meeting was arranged between the houseowner and DBKK to find a win-win solution for both parties.

Houseowner and City Hall agreed to work out a solution together to repair the damage caused by the collapse.

City Hall’s supervising officer inspected the condition of the soil in the rubble area and will start repair work within two days while the landlord will arrange a contractor to repair the collapsed fence.

“For information, residents who experience such problems, can inform the authorities through City Hall’s hotline or us. We will always work closely with DBKK for such issues,” said Dexter Chin.
