Putatan residents urged to stay vigilant against Covid-19

Kota Kinabalu, 30 August 2021 – Due the seriousness of the Covid-19 Delta virus infections Kapitan Cina Chung Ming Kong urged residents in Putatan to be extra vigilant and maintain a high degree of will to fight the epidemic.

He said the recent coronavirus is highly infectious and active in the Putatan area and every resident needs to be very alert and strictly observe SOPs.

“When you go to the store to buy things, observe social distancing and wear two layers of masks. If you go to dine-ins, do not loiter, leave immediately after you are done. Try to avoid unnecessary social activities,” Chung advised.

Chung, who is also the chairman of the SAPP Tanjung Aru branch, urged shop operators to help check and control the flow of customers into the store to avoid close contact among customers.

“I hope everyone will fight the epidemic together. Vaccination is top priority. The sooner Sabah gets herd immunity, the sooner it will be able to open up its economy and social activities,” he added.
