SAPP basket food aid to Likas residents target group

KOTA KINABALU, 20 December 2020: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) has distributed food basket assistance to some 175 residents in Likas from allocation funds of nominated assemblyman Datuk Yong Teck Lee.

The distribution was led by Dexter Chin, who is a member of SAPP Supreme Council, representing Datuk Yong.

According to Dexter, the assistance under Program Sentuhan Kasih which was in collaboration with the UPPM (Unit Pemimpin Pembangunan Masyarakat) DUN N.19 Likas was targeted at underprivileged groups consisting of senior citizens, single mothers and people with disabilities (OKU).

He expressed his appreciation to Datuk Yong Teck Lee for his concern and contribution by way of Sentuhan Kasih program which to some extent can help ease the burden of those who are in dire need at this time of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The community should work together to adapt the new norms and always comply with the SOP set by the authorities so that to put a stop to the spread of Covid-19 and enable the local economy to be revived,” he said.
