KOTA KINABALU, April 26, 2018: Local opposition Gabungan Sabah (GS) is confident that its unique logo sharing approach will yield positive results in the Sepanggar Parliamentary as well as its Karambunai and Inanam state seas.

GS director of operations for Sepanggar Datuk Eric Majimbun said the logo sharing among SAPP, Parti Harapan and STAR was the best example of a close relationship among Sabah local parties.

“Our candidates, irrespective of their parties, are locals to the area, they know the issues affecting the people and are ready to serve,” he said at a gathering in Menggatal town on Wednesday.

“All of them were chosen after a thorough vetting process and they shown that they are committed to the struggle for Sabah rights,” he said.

The GS candidate for Sepanggar was STAR’s Jeffery Kumin who will be contesting under the SAPP logo.

GS had also named Ahsim Jamat as its candidate for the Karambunai state seat that is part of Sepanggar and he would also be contesting under the SAPP logo as well.

The local coalition had named SAPP’s John Stephen as its candidate for the Inanam state seat.

At the event attended by more than 300 people Eric said Sepanggar voters were faced with the choice of GS’ Jeffrey, a local from the area, or Barisan Nasional’s Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan.

“I am sure the voters will choose a local over a football that has been kicked over from Kota Belud,” he said to the cheers and applause from the crowd.

He said the fact that GS parties were using each other’s logo indicated the high level cooperation among them.

“With us working together so well, it will ensure our victory in Sepanggar, Karambunai and Inanam,” he said.
