Pemimpin SAPP dipanggil Polis

KOTA KINABALU, 4 Oktober 2012: Polis bandaraya Kota Kinabalu telah memanggil seramai 12 orang pemimpin Parti Maju Sabah (SAPP) termasuk Presiden parti itu Datuk Seri panglima Yong Teck Lee berhubung majlis perayaan kemerdekaan Sabah kali ke-49 di Taman Chong Thien Vun pada 31 Ogos lalu.

Teck Lee dan Penasihat SAPP selaku bekas Menteri Kewangan Sabah Datuk Mohd Noor Mansoor serta Timbalan Presiden selaku Ahli Parlimen Sepanggar Datuk Eric Majimbun, Timbalan Presiden selaku Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Likas Datuk Liew Teck Chan dan lapan lagi pemimpin parti itu diarah datang ke Pejabat Bahagian Siasatan Jenayah Ibupejabat Polis Daerah Kota Kinabalu pada 5 Oktober 2012 jam pukul 10 pagi.

Penolong Setiausaha Agung SAPP Datu Suaib Datu Mutalib berkata, mereka diminta memberi keterangan bersabit perayaan itu di bawah Seksyen 9(5) dan 4(2) Akta Perhimpunan Aman.

"SAPP akan memberi kerjasama sepenuhnya kepada pihak Polis dalam penyiasatan mereka berkenaan dengan perhimpunan tersebut.

"SAPP akan mempertahankan prinsipnya mengenai kepentingan rakyat Sabah untuk kebenaran dan fakta sejarahnya," katanya di sini.

Katanya, rakyat meraikan ulangtahun kemerdekaan Sabah yang ke-49 tahun dan bukannya 55 tahun seperti sebelum SAPP membuat kenyataan mengenai fakta sejarah yang sebenarnya.

Suaib berkata, perayaan itu telah dihadiri ribuan rakyat.

Para pemimpin SAPP yang akan dipanggil adalah Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee, Datuk Mohd Noor Mansoor, Datuk Eric Majimbun, Datuk Liew Teck Chan, Datuk Richard Yong We Kong (Setiausaha Agung), Datuk Wong Yit Ming (Naib Presiden), Datuk Chua Soon Bui (Naib Presiden selaku Ahli Parlimen Tawau), Dullie Haji Marie (Bendahari Agung), Japiril Suhaimin (Naib Presiden), Stephan Gaimin (Ahli Majlis Tertinggi), Yong Chong Kim (AMT) dan Danim @ Aloysius Siap (AMT).
